Scarlet Batchelor is the Chief Growth Officer at the Appalachian Mountain Club. Undeterred by a childhood camping trip involving cotton sleeping bags and cold Dinty Moore beef stew, Scarlet has leaned into outdoor recreation in her adult life, thanks to her husband, Sam, who grew up canoeing in Vermont.
Scarlet’s professional expertise combines recreation, sales/marketing, and community building with chapters at New Balance, Hydrow, and Liteboxer. At AMC Scarlet leads the Marketing and Sales teams and endeavors to expand AMC’s community and unlock joyful outdoor experiences while promoting conservation.
Scarlet lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband, three middle-schoolers, and a very shy rescue dog. Her 2024 goal is to learn to whitewater canoe.
