Philip J. Carcia is a hiker, runner, and digital artist who has logged over 30,000 miles on trail since 2007. Growing up in Massachusetts and cutting his teeth in New Hampshire, Carcia is best known for his multi-week and multi-month endurance projects in the White Mountains. Notably, between 2018 and 2019, he successfully completed the Single Year Grid, ascending all 48 4,000-foot peaks in New Hampshire in each month over the course of 12 consecutive months. After falling short the two years prior, in 2022 Carcia traversed all 650 trails detailed in the official AMC White Mountains Guide in 90 days, just inside of a single summer season.
