Mel Elam

My name is Mel Elam and I hike with my Cat, Floki. We started our journey together three years ago and have climbed mountains together since chronicling our adventures on social media as Adventures with Floki. Floki is the first cat to have completed hiking the NH four thousand footers and we are working through the NH 52 with a view list and the Terrifying 25. I use our following to help raise positivity as well as fundraising for important causes such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Mount Washington Observatory and many more. To date we have raised over $10,000. We have been featured in Outdoor, People and Backpacker Magazine and partnered with Eastern Mountain Sports in the past. We are in our second year as an Ambassador for Oboz Footwear and have also been on NH Chronicle, Windows to the Wild and different podcasts. We just learned that there is even mention of us in the newest edition of the well known hiking guide, “The 4000-footers of the White Mountains.”
