I am an Internal Medicine physician with an interest in obesity management, wellness and nutrition. I live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where I hike, bike, backpack and snowshoe, frequently solo, and sometimes in groups. I volunteer for the USFS as a Trailhead Steward, and I am the Trail Adopter for the trails to Hedgehog Mountain (the UNH Trail) and to Potash Mountain. In 2023 I completed the Hiking the White Mountain Guide project; in just over 3 years I hiked every mile of every trail described in the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) White Mountain Guide. I was the 89th person to finish this project and the first female and second person to do this entirely solo.
