Brittany Francis

Brittany Francis (she/her) is happiest when she is outside! Her love of nature is not just a hobby but a vital part of her identity. With this in mind, she founded Ample Access Outdoors to blend this passion for the outdoors with her deep commitment to social justice and accessibility.

She has been a special education teacher for over a decade, working in multiple settings, including public schools, community-based services, and day programs. She is passionate about accessibility and has devoted her career to championing the needs of individuals with diverse abilities.

Driven by her experiences both in and out of the classroom, Brittany wants to dismantle the existing barriers in outdoor recreation to make it more inclusive, adaptable, and safe. Through Ample Access Outdoors, Brittany aims to foster an environment where the natural world is open and enjoyable for people of all abilities and backgrounds.
