Established in 2024, the CT Office of Outdoor Industry and Experiences aims to:
Elevate outdoor recreation for visitors in State Parks through partnerships that enhance the public’s experience, e.g. providing gear rentals, guided services, concessions, events, and more.
Add or expand tourism destinations that support local economic development. State Parks are one of Connecticut’s largest tourism attractions, bolstered by great partnerships like the Essex Steam Train, Farmington River Tubing, and the Mohawk Mountain Ski area.
Provide equitable access to the outdoors with partnerships that help all visitors participate in outdoor recreation experiences, such as universal, adaptive, and ADA-compliant equipment rentals, experiences, and education.
