Event Preview: Boston’s newest adventure event launches April 27-28, 2024

The new expo will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, slated for Saturday 27th 10-6pm and Sunday 28th 10am -4pm

The Boston Outdoor Expo will bring together thousands of families and outdoor enthusiasts from New England to shop over 120 brands this April. The debut event provides inspiration for the coming season by hosting an incredible line up of speakers, OLY athletes, record holders and more plus a weekend’s worth of interactive fun for families. The organizers are known for The Boston Run Show and Snowbound Expo, previously known as the Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo. Visitors can expect a full weekend of interactive features for all ages, inspirational content, new gear to shop and swag.

Over 120 brands to explore

Are you in the market for a new pair of hiking boots, a tent, backpack, or something else more specific to help you reach new heights with your outdoor pursuits? Look no further, the new expo welcomes over 120 brands and retailers to sell their latest gear, tech, and apparel to over 15,000 visitors across the weekend. This family-friendly expo is a chance for outdoors adventurers of all abilities and ages to meet up, find new inspiration, shop the brands on offer and try something new in the expo. The weekend offers a packed hall of live-action and features for families to get interactive and try something new all for free with the entry ticket.

There’s something for everyone at the Boston Outdoor Expo. Visitors can be inspired and motivated by some of the world’s greatest outdoor enthusiasts speaking on the Inspiration Stage. Hanging out and connecting with others is not forgotten, as the Woodland Café offers a chance for visitors to meet friends for a drink and lunch before their Spring Summer trips begin.

An All-Star Line-Up of Speakers

Included in the standard ticket, visitors will be able to attend the full program of content on The Inspiration Stage where they can listen to motivational expert speakers and grab selfies and autographs after each session.

The all-star line-up of speakers and schedule has been announced. Visitor will hear stories from event winners (e.g. OLY), adventurers, and world record holders throughout the weekend. The World’s Greatest Living Explorer, Ranulph Fiennes will join the Inspiration Stage on Saturday April 27th to share his life’s achievements with the crowds. He is especially hailed for being the first man to cross the Antarctica from one side to the other [via the pole] on foot and holds several Guinness World Records. The following day, ex-recon marine and conservationist, Rudy Reyes will headline the Inspiration Stage on Sunday at 10.15am. Rudy is a highly decorated Special Forces operator with experience of leading over 50 patrols behind enemy lines, resulting in several TV series being based on his experiences. Both are joined by a stellar line-up of famous faces including adaptive ice climber Kimber Cross, OLY Cross Country Mountain biker Lea Davison, ultra running legend and 7-time Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run winner, Scott Jurek.

The topics and panel discussions cover a wide breadth and will offer thought provoking and inspirational moments for visitors. The Appalachian Club’s Chief Growth Officer, Scarlet Batchelor will be on stage Saturday 2.15pm and will discuss connecting people to the outdoors through joyous and meaningful outdoor experiences. A female panel ‘Women in the outdoors – sharing perspectives’ will be presented at 3.45pm on the Saturday and sustainability in the outdoors will be discussed ‘Leave no trace in principle and practice’ earlier in the day Saturday at 12.15pm.

The event has significant demand from both brands and consumers keen to attend the latest outdoor expo and meet up in the East. Event Highlights include huge product promotions with up to 50% off bikes with Colorado Ski Shop. There will be competitions to win products and swag with Northeast Apparel Company, win a therapeutic ruck with Evolving Mind & Body, win a one-night stay offered by TUNE and giveaways can be found at simstechnology. Knot Tying & a kid’s scavenger hunt from Bushcraft Skills Workshop will be a popular feature, and the chance to try out new products turn bikes into E-bikes can be found at the CLIP booth. There are product launches from Hiker’s Hummus who will bring two new flavors to market and Boat Day will launch their first ever Boat Day Cooler available to buy at the expo! Family fun can be had by getting involved in raffles, happy hours, photobooths, spin the wheel competitions and all for free with prizes and swag.
